Day 01 / Arrival Delhi Upon arrival meet & assist at the IGI airport by our tour representative & then transfer to your pre booked hotel as it mentioned in itinerary. Overnight stay in Delhi hotel. Day 02 Delhi - Agra - Jaipur (By train and car) Early morning pick up from hotel & transfer to railway station to board the superfast airconditioned Shatabdi Express train to Agra. Breakfast in the train, Arrive Agra in approx. 02 hours & visit the magnificient. Tajmahal - A white marble Tomb building 1631 - 1648 in Agra, seat of the Mughal Empire by Shah Jahan for his wife, Arjuman Banu Begum, the monument sums up many of the formal themes that have played through Islamic architecture. Its refined elegance is a conspicuous contrast both to the Hindu architecture of pre - Islamic India, with its thick walls, corbelled arches and heavy lintels and to the Indo Islamic styles, in which Hindu elements are combined with an electric assortment of motifs from Persian and Turkish sources. After visiting Taj Mahal enjoy a lavish buffet lunch in a 5* hotel in Agra. After lunch drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri - The Imperial city of the Mughal dynasty. It is very difficult to express the architectural grandeur city as one can only experience the aura of these forts. Famously known as the city of Ghosts, it was built by the great Mughal Emperor. Fateh Pur Sikri is a place worth visiting to discover how once the city could have been which has now turned into ruins, situated 26 miles west of Agra, it was build at orders of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The buildings at Fateh Pur Sikri blended both Islamic and Hindu elements in their architectural style. Arrive Jaipur & transfer to Hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur hotel. Day 03 Jaipur - Delhi ( By train ) Breakfast in hotel. After a leisurely breakfast, proceed for sightseeing : - Amber Fort, is one that cannot be easily described. The Amber Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Mughal Architecture, construct by Raja Mann Singh in 1592 and completed by Swai Jai Singh, the fort is made in red sand stone and white marble. The rugged forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise with a beautiful of art and architecture. Amber Fort is the classic and romantic fort palace with a magnificent aura. The interior wall of palace depicts expressive painting scenes with carvings, precious stones and mirror settings. Visit the City Palace located in the heart of the world city. The City Palace is a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture and the royal family still lives in a part of the Palace. The building now forms the Maharaja Swai Man Singh II Museum and on display here are a wide array of royal costumes, some vary exquisite and precious pashmina (kashmiri) shawls, Benaras silk sarries sauganeri prints and folk embroidery. An unusual display is that of voluminous clothes worn by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh I (Ruled 1750 -1768). The art gallery is located in the Diwan I Aam, which literally, mean the hall of public audience. Between the armory museum and the art gallery is the Diwan I Khas meaning the hall of private or selective audience. T his is a marble pave pavilion and puts on display the world largest sterling silver object two gigantic silver vessels. Evening transfer to railway station to board the air conditioned train to Delhi, Dinner in the train, Arrive Delhi & transfer to hotel. Day 04 Delhi Tour Packages After breakfast checkout from hotel and proceed for combined sightseeing tour of Old Delhi & New Delhi. OLD DELHI - A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting:- Red Fort - The red sandstone walls of Lal Qila, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit : - Humayun's Tomb - is an early example of Mughal architecture built in Delhi, Qutub Minar, A drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, the President's Residence, Birla Mandir, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight stay in Delhi hotel. Day 05 Delhi - Haridwar After breakfast in hotel drive to Haridwar, arrive haridwar in four hours & transfer to hotel. proceed for sightseeing tour. Har Ki Pauri - Har Ki Pauri is one of the most sacred bathing ghats at Haridwar. The best time to visit this spot is at sunset when you can see the 'Aarti' of Ganga being performed. Chandi Devi - Across the main Ganga river, on the other bank is the Neel Parvat. The famous Chandi Devi Temple is situated a top it. One has to trek at least 3 Kms. on the hill to reach it. Other temples in close vicinity on the hill itself are the temples of Gauri Shankar, Neeleshwar Mahadev and Anjani Devi. Bhimgada Tank - On the way to Rishikesh, this tank is said to have been made by Bhim with the blow of his knee, when the Pandavas were going to the Himalayas through Haridwar. Night stay in Haridwar hotel. Day 06 Haridwar - Rishikesh - Delhi - Departure Morning proceed for sightseeing tour Sapt Rishi Ashram and Sapt Sarovar - Legends abound in India. Here, it is said, Ganga splits herself in seven currents so that the Sapt (seven) Rishis worshipping there would not be disturbed. Canal Centenary Bridge - Located near Har-ki-Pauri, this bridge commands a beautiful view of the canal and all the ghats. Later drive to Rishikesh visit Bharat Mandir - the oldest famous temple in Rishikesh, near the Triveni Ghat. This temple is dedicated to younger brother og Lord Ram. also visit Laxman Jhula - a hanging bridge on the river Ganga is one of the most famous spot in Rishikesh. According to Indian mythology, Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama crossed the Ganga with the help of hanging bridge made of Jute. The bridge offers a scenic view of the river Ganga as it tumbles down to Haridwar. Optional activities -White water rafting. Later afternoon drive to Delhi & transfer to International airport to board the flight for onward journey or way back home. |
